The National Bible Association Kupferman Award is given to a judge in recognition of a Biblical citation in a judicial decision which is in keeping with sound judicial theory and practice. Special attention is given to citations that demonstrate the connection between modern civil law and the Bible. This award was named for the Hon. Theodore R. Kupferman, a Trustee and past President of the National Bible Association.
